Giving 4 little things

  1. I think there is four categories for roles in life: giver, receiver, giver & receiver, and taker. I am pretty much a receiver (one of my personal friends is a giver, one a taker, and one a giver & and a receiver) but this post might change me to a giver & receiver!

  2. So true — giving thanks is such a simple gift to give, but also a rewarding one. You may like the Look for Good Project. They’re a very small nonprofit located in CT, and their mission is spreading gratitude. They volunteer at a lot of college campuses, particularly around exam time (perhaps when students need them the most!).

It’s unfortunate that more people don’t give, because I think the world would be a very lovely place if everyone gave more abundantly.

    Thanks for sharing! 🙂

    1. Hi Natalie…

Thanks for stopping by this morning. I appreciate your comment, and will look into your suggested volunteer opportunity.

I believe giving is a habit acquired after realizing that what you get in return is a feeling, not something you can touch, but something that touches you.

  3. I agree that a thank you is a gift that is too often overlooked, but one that can truly bless those who receive it. There are so many ways we can give to others–our time, treating a friend to a coffee, picking up the phone to call a friend we haven’t seen in a while and telling them we’re thinking of them.

Lovely post. Thanks for challenging me to think about what I can give to others today.

    1. Lonna…you are so very welcome.

A smile is a nice gift too. Try it on yourself every morning.

My beloved Mother always told me that charity begins at home.

In other words, we give to ourselves, then expand outwards.
