I can get up and out of bed in the morning.
At 61, almost nothing creaks. YAY!
I get another day to CELEBRATE LIFE.
I have not been sleeping in a hospital bed.
I am not in crisis!
I still have all my marbles.
I look out my bedroom window.
It doesn’t matter whether the sun is shining or not.
I can see!
My little schnauzer “Griselda” is barking.
She’s saying: “Get you butt down here and let me out.”
I can hear!
My heart is beating.
I feel blessed!
I get another day to SAY THANKS to God my father, family, friends, and even strangers who make me smile, laugh, and see another perspective.
I can speak!
Soon, I will be having breakfast.
Just thinking about this makes me salivate.
It’ll be good.
And if it ain’t…
I can smell.
If it is…
I can chew.
I can swallow!
Now…I could go on.
But, I’d rather read your thoughts.
