Have your weekends turned into “from the pan into the fire” scenarios?
just two more “never-stop” days to add to your total of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7?
Or do you really TGIF because you have plans to relax?
What the heck is that word even still doing in the dictionary???
In my opinion…The only BIG BOSS that should be telling what you should and should not be doing on your weekends is Y-O-U!
Are you working toward the weekend, or working through-out the weekend?
And…since you have the power to imagine how to take a load off for a couple of days, make sure you include at least one or two of these wonderful ways in your weekend plans.
There was a time [thankfully long past], when I actually couldn’t bring myself to sit down.
I literally would stand in the middle of the room because I just knew there was something I should be doing.
I actually grew up believing that you don’t sit down until all your work is finished.
GUESS WHAT? It’s never finished.
But…you will be if you don’t learn when it’s OK to deliberately put your feet up and relax.
Hint: The Weekend!!!
There’s no clock to punch, or no desk to clear.
If there is someone still looking over your shoulder, tell them to shove off, even if only for a few hours.
Why not make your weekend an important part of your official “rest” period? If it isn’t, there is no time like the present to make it so.
I’m not about to give you a list of all the ways you can relax on the weekend.
Besides, you may have already searched numerous websites, or spent dollar upon dollar on relaxation books.
It’s my hope that you have your own ways to shut down for a bit. I also hope that you are using them.

I’ve actually heard people say: “I’ll rest when I’m dead.”
My thought on this is…Not if you don’t get any practice while you’re alive!
The important thing is to quiet voices in your head that might suggest you are “lazy” doing any of them!
Once upon a time at least Sunday was considered a day of rest.
Now, in many homes, even this day is chocked full of “things” to do.
I’ll admit there are probably a couple of “have-to-do’s” on the weekends.
One of these is…Getting Some Rest!!!
