Here’s a thought with which to start your week, your day, your evening, or continue the rest of your year:
“The Only Thing We Really Ever Give To Another Person IS Information!”
There it is. I’m giving you a thought, and in the kindest way, a mission.
I do this because we are not always conscious of the types of information we are giving.
We may also think we are giving others information about themselves, when in reality, it’s really information about ourselves!
It’s like being on a slip and slide.
Let’s be honest…
We don’t always notice how our words don’t match our body language.
We are not always in the best mood due to something else that has happened earlier, and give the people in our space the murky run-off.
We are sometimes giving our objective opinions in such a way that we leave no opening for another person to disagree.
Do you realize how many different forms information can take?
You may give someone something to take the sting out of what comes next.
You may give someone something to cover up a short fall.
You may give someone way too much information.
You may give someone silence, which is still information!
What about a smile?
A touch on the shoulder?
What about a frown?
A tangible item?
All of the above are forms of information!
It’s up to you to choose which is sending the type of information you really want to give.
In my opinion, the best way to do this is to realize that most of what we give another person in the way of information comes from our “feelings place.”
I personally try to give every person I meet a clear picture of who I am as a person with a giving heart and spirit.
That’s the type of information I want to leave them with.
The response I get tells me whether my mission has been successful.
It is my hope that you are on a similar mission.
What type of information are you giving to the people in your life, or in general along your path?
Remember: Information once given can never be taken back!!!
