Hope cracks the cynic mind wide open. Hope doesn’t allow the bad stuff to doom the good.
But then, I’m a believer in everything hope has to offer.
You?
Hope says tomorrow can offer better futures. Hope leaves room for the possibility that there will be some.
Hope comes with renewable options – plural.
If we have anything to say about it, better times are on their way.
Right?
Sensing “real hope,” idealistic as it may seem is the best perspective. You don’t kid yourself.
You aren’t wearing blinders, or ear plugs.
You know what’s going on in your life. You know what’s going on in the world.
You’re pairing what you know with what you hope will happen. That way your hopeful outlook is shared within the context of a more accurate reality.
Instead of wasting your time dwelling on gloomy negatives, or fantasizing about sugar-coated positives, you go into action mode.
You prepare more efficiently today for what you hope will be your better future tomorrow.
Is your life and/or the world as you see it reeking of adversity right now?
Heck no, it’s not the path you thought you chose.
It’s light years away from the world you wanted to live in. But it’s the path things appear to be on of late.
Hope helps you walk through the rubble, and over the humps and bumps.
Some people are ugh-feared of hope. They don’t want anything to do with it because hoping for anything better will only disappoint them.
So, they protect themselves from their feelings of vulnerability by casting any sense of hopefulness aside.
Maybe, now would be a good time for you to notice what triggers in your life, or farther afield in this crazy world of ours, are making you feel blah about hope.
Faith with a few ample sprinkles of confidence can also help. There is a point and a purpose to hope you know.
And faith in the positives of life entwined with what’s happening in the world – you can realistically control – can lift you right out of your funk.
Come up with some solutions for your despair that will provide the fertile ground to cultivate hope.
Martin Luther said: “If you think the world is coming to an end, plant a tree.”
So…how can you better deal?
1. Try not to be afraid of the knowledge you have. Don’t back away from it.
Embrace it.
2. Accept that there are no guarantees anything is going to change in the world or your life today.
3. Find tangible pursuits that empower & motivate your tomorrows.
In Defense of Hope
If we start to believe in having none, none is exactly what we’ll get!
My Suggestion:
Find the key to your hopeful future, and put into play the necessary action(s) that will take you there.
Let’s get crackin’!
I love hope, despite having been fed massive doses of false hope in my life. I believe in it, it’s all we have

I’ve bled a little bit after having false hope shoved in my mouth too Billy. So I feel you. Then I decided to be the primary cook in my own kitchen. I dish it up for myself now, ’cause presentation is huge when it comes to my food. Now I only take what’s offered from others with a grain of salt. Interestingly enough, I prefer pepper. Enjoy your week!

Thank you Billy. The alternative would find me hiding deep in my closet. It’s dark in there!
