Martin Luther King “MLK” spoke of many things during his short but purposeful life. He spoke of peace, he spoke of love, he spoke of faith.
He spoke of togetherness, and he spoke loudly of the freedoms that we all should want, and should dream of ourselves.
Most resonant to me is the freedom he hoped we would all come to feel we already have.
He didn’t want us to carry the mountain, he wanted us to cross it, young and old, weak and strong, and if at all possible, hand in hand.
I’d like to believe he left us with a legacy that included his hope that we can all live a harmonious life.
He wanted us to love ourselves, and each other, to have faith, to appreciate what we have to contribute, and to keep moving while living our dreams no matter what.
Being wise was part and parcel of his many talents. His quotes speak volumes. I’ve gathered a few of them here hoping you’ll read and maybe have some compelling dreams of your own.
If you are already dreaming of a higher and better life, a higher and better world, keep on keepin’ on. Don’t just survive, LIVE free!
