“A memorial is one of the most challenging and meaningful projects an architect or designer can take on. It must be solemn but hopeful, visually impactful but respectful.”
Elizabeth Stamp – 2016
Every year since, though it’s been many years whence, I’ve felt the need to commemorate an event few of us will ever forget.
Nay, shouldn’t forget!
This year, I’ve decided to share some of the most beautifully constructed memorials commemorating the lives of those lost on September 11th, 2001 I could find.
I’ve also added a poignant YouTube video at the end. It’s short, and I promise worth the watch.
So…go forth, take a moment, to be in the moment.
PEACE BE STILL.
